Christa Mooney, Network Liaison Officer at the IMFN Secretariat in Ottawa, is taking the year away from the office as she welcomes a new family member in late December. We wish her and her family well as they welcome their third child!
Christa is being replaced by Deborah Luce. Debbie has a strong knowledge management and communications background and speaks Spanish and French as well as English. She has extensive experience working in international development; she worked and lived in Africa (Chad and Malawi) for six years, and spent five months in Mexico living and working with Indigenous women. She is also a horticulturalist and herbalist and ran a small farm-based business which produced and sold farm (and forest) based plant products for more than 12 years. Debbie, therefore, also has a great deal of experience in the marketing and promoting of plant based products.
Debbie is very much looking forward to meeting and working with the members of the IMFN and encourages you to email her with any concerns or questions you may have. Welcome Debbie!
