A Global Vision of Forestry in the 21st Century

What: International Congress: A Global Vision of Forestry in the 21st Century 
Where: University of Toronto, Canada    
When: 30 September - 3 October, 2007

Brief description: On the occasion of its Centennial Celebrations in 2007, the Faculty of Forestry, University of Toronto, has taken up a challenge to develop a comprehensive Global Vision of Forestry in the 21st Century. The vision will be developed through input from everyone who is concerned with the future state of our global forests, environment, and society. The organizers aim to bring invited speakers from key stakeholders including forest and natural resource administrators, judges,  indigenous leaders, scientists, and experts from the forest industry, academia and international and non-government organizations. The organizersare also looking forward to active participation of members from all these groups in the Congress.

Call for abstracts: Poster abstracts of no more than 500 words in length addressing any of the Congress sub-themes, including title, relevant sub-theme, author(s) name(s), affiliation and contact information, should be sent by e-mail to the Congress Coordinator, by November 30, 2006. Organizers will inform the author(s) of their decision by January 31, 2007. The authors of accepted abstracts will present their posters during the Congress.
