Workshop on REDD+ and Community Forestry: October 2-7, 2011, Quebec, Canada
A workshop organized by Laval University in Quebec City on REDD+ and community forestry will be attended by various Model Forests delegates. RMFN – Asia Board Meeting: October 5-7, Bangkok, Thailand
Ngao Model Forest will host the next RMFN-Asia Board of Directors' meeting in Bangkok, Thailand in October. The theme of the meeting will be payments for ecological goods and services (PES). Prior to the meeting Model Forest representatives will also participate in a one day intensive PES workshop at the Centre for People and Forests. For more information please contact imfn@imfn.net.

Forestry Exposition in Chorotega Model Forest: November 3-5, Costa Rica
A new Model Forest in Costa Rica, Chorotega, located on the Nicoya Peninsula in the northwest corner of the country, is inviting the public to a Forestry Exposition on November 3-5, 2011. In celebration of the International Year of Forests, this forestry fair will feature wood products such as furniture, arts and crafts, nursery stock, examples of wood construction in rural areas, forestry services and machinery, local food and cultural events. The public is invited to come and see all the wonderful products and services that are derived from within the Chorotega Model Forest. IAMFN Board of Director’s meeting: November 14-18, Bolivia
The Chiquitano Model Forest will be hosting the next IAMFN Board of Director's meeting in Concepción, Bolivia. In addition to the bi-annual Board of Director's meeting, the IMFN Secretariat, Ibero-American Model Forest Network and Chiquitano Model Forest will include a Regional Dialogue and Information Workshop on “Model Forests and local implementation of national REDD + strategies."

MMFN Medforum: November 23-25, Marseille, France
The Mediterranean Model Forest Networks’ annual general meeting, MedForum, will be held in Ramatuelle, France from November 23-25, 2011. During the Medforum, a meeting of the MED Forêt Modèle Project and the second Steering Committee of the Collaborative Partnership for the Mediterranean Forest (CPMF) will take place. There will be an inaugural workshop to prepare an “integrated strategy on Mediterranean forests,” which will be presented to the FAO’s Silva Mediterranea by late 2012.
